J BAR is located adjacent to Janos and has its own entrance and is also linked to Janos through common areas. J BAR was inspired by the Parillas of bordertown Nogales. The centerpiece is the open kitchen where meats, fish and poultry are grilled and served family style with a variety of accompaniments including Peruvian and sweet potato salad, huitlacoche, mushroom and corn relish, frijoles de la olla and hand-stretched flour tortillas. J BAR food is a celebration of the flavors of Southern Arizona, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Dishes are prepared to order using the ingredients from these regions as well as produce grown by local gardeners. Service is attentive and fun with many of the dishes served from platillos to encourage sharing.
