In America, Irish food is typically associated with the corned beef and cabbage traditionally served on St. Patrick's day. In truth, this dish is almost unheard of in Ireland. It is more a product of the immigrants who came to the United States in the early part of this century.
Traditional Irish food makes use of the bounty of the country itself; fresh fish and game, lamb and beef, and vegetables straight from the garden. The Emerald's menu is a reflection of this tradition, combined with a continental cooking style. Some of our dishes are based on recipes over 300 years old.
