Take one of the oldest cuisines in the world, combine it with the bounty of the Bay Area, merge it with a sophisticated wine list and you come up with Roti Bistro, a new dinner destination in Burlingame.
Roti's highly rated chef Mohammed Aslam (formerly of Indian Oven where he garnered 3 stars from the San Francisco Chronicle and a 24 rating in the Zagat Survey) combines authentic recipes and ingredients from his native country with high quality local and organic ingredients. Tandoori oven specialties, traditional made to order breads, a wide variety of curries and plentiful vegetarian offerings are all made in- house daily.
Roti's refined atmosphere, coupled with a rich color palette, reflects today's casual, yet sophisticated dining sensibility. Designer Susan Gujral has a long history in many areas of design, producing refined interiors and product styling in San Francisco as well as other prominent areas of the country.
Roti's modern approach to fine dining is further reflected in it's carefully selected wine list of boutique offerings. Concentrating on small producers, both International and from California wineries, the wine menu features 10+ offerings by the glass and 30+ by the bottle- all especially chosen to enhance the complex Indian flavors.
