Brannan's Grill opened its handcrafted doors to Calistoga in March 1998 and quickly established a reputation as one of the top dining destination restaurants in Napa Valley. Local owners Ron Goldin and Mark Young provide the hospitality in The Valley's most spectacular dining room, a showcase of local artisan craftsman. The centerpiece being the lovingly restored, circa 1880 Brunswick Mahogany bar, a 27 foot long piece of San Francisco and Calistoga history.

But the real draw is Chef Allen Routt's outstanding cuisine show showcasing a melange of New American with Classic influences. Appetizers range from Prince Edward Island Mussels in a Spicy Tomato-Saffron Broth to an irresistible version of steak Tartare of Chopped Tenderloin with Grilled Radicchio and Watercress Salad. Entrees are equally impressive such as Grilled Magret of Liberty Duck with Ragout of Fingerling Potato and Jerusalem Artichoke with Rhubarb Demi, Grilled Thick-Cut Pork Loin with Whole Grain Mustard Spatzel and Braised Red cabbage with Shallot-Cider Sauce, or Slow Roasted Salmon with Colcannon Potatoes and Shrimp "Demi."
