One of the most elegant of Joachim Splichal's series of California-style bistros, Pinot Provence is situated in the lobby of The Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, California. Under the culinary guidance of Executive Chef Florent Marneau and Splichal, the restaurant's menu features Mediterranean fare served in a rustic yet elegant environment. Both the restaurant's design and menu recall Splichal's early days in Southern France, where he began his culinary career. The 150-seat restaurant offers two outdoor patios and three casually chic private dining rooms, decorated in the Provencal style. Interior designer Cheryl Brantner, who received acclaim for designing several of Splichal's other restaurants, contributed her talents to the new site after she and Splichal returned from a trip to Southern France, where they purchased a number of antiques and accessories.

Due to its proximity to the coastline and taking into consideration the lifestyle of residents in the surrounding beach communities, Pinot Provence captures the elegance and ease that is reflected in their daily lives. The restaurant transports guests into the countryside of Southern France for a dining experience that is both relaxed and sophisticated.

Pinot Provence is available for private parties and special events. For information, call 714-428-0814.

I took a colleague to lunch there and had great service. The food was excellent as I expected from a Patina group restaurant.

Excellent cuisine - appreciated that our waitress did not forget us, she understood that we had tickets for the Performing Arts that evening, and dinner did not take forever to receive, understanding and attentive.

Pinot Provence One of our absolute favorites. The waitress(Shannon) was both pleasant and very professional. The food and ambiance were/are excellent. Dining at Pinot Provence is always a pleasure.
