"The Chakra experience starts with breasts, big, golden globules jutting from the statue of some Hindu goddess at the restaurant's entrance. There's a knee-high pool near the entrance with lotus blossoms and lilies; outside in the patio is a roaring fire thats usually reserved for private parties, where power-suited men escort their sari-wrapped wives. The ceilings are high; the walls shine with drapes, soft earthy tones and random sentences in Sanskrit. The bar side of Chakra is where the youngsters indulge in multiple chakratinis, the restaurant's multicolored take on the supper-club standard." - Orange County Weekly

By incorporating traditional ingredients with those less common in Indian cuisine, Chakra honors tradition while creating unique and inspiring dishes. Unlike most restaurants that specialize in Indian cuisine, Chakra does not limit its menu to one region of the vast country, but instead reflects an unparalleled dining experience that involves exotic tandoori dishes from the Northern states as well as the distinct curries celebrated in the South. Chakra's menu is both intriguing and inviting to the newcomer, while remaining authentic to most familiar palate.

"OC's New Hot Spot. Exotic Decor. Tantalizing food. Sensual Beats. Beautiful Patios. VIP Room. This is the spot to be....." - Clubzone.com

"And no restaurant better personifies the Irvine immigrant experience than Chakra Creative Cuisine. Although open for only about half a year, Chakra is already the ritzy playground for the county's Indian elite and students from UC Irvine across the street, drawn by the restaurant's comprehensive swath of culinary India." - Orange County Weekly

The papadam that was served was stale. I've eaten deliciously crispy and well made ones in Scotland and England and this one was by far the worst. I ordered the calamari which was very tender and delicously spicy. However, it was extremely garlick... Read more

Chose this restaurant for a girls night out and because the website showed the most sensual ambiance.

Food was of very good quality, but the service stunk. Our waiter didn't know the Indian dishes nor could pronounce any of them. Bartender got the ... Read more

"I'm writing to commend you on your excellent website, service, and business concept. The meal I enjoyed yesterday at New Orleans' Cafe Indo was fantastic on its own right, but tenfold better when coupled with a 20% discount...Keep up the fantastic work!" Nirav S.-Chicago, IL
