August 10, 2007 Brindisi is located in the quiet part of Belden Alley. Patrons entering from Pine Street don't have to wade through the crowds experienced by those who come in from Bush. Dining is alfresco because the interior of the restaurant is small. Diners... Read more are advised not to sit near the Pine Street entrance as it can get very chilly and drafty. Food preparation has slipped in the past two years, but you can still get a good meal if your order carefully. Seafood and fish are usually well prepared. The tilapia in parchment is very good. Chicken was somewhat dry and the osso bucco had very little meat. Vegetarian pizza also was well prepared. The bruschetta was overpriced for one small slice that was not even cut in two and was dry with little flavor. On the other hand the house bread with a spicy olive oil was quite tasty and free. There is an extensive wine list and wines by the glass are a good value as pours are generous. We enjoyed dessert, particularly the panna cotta with fresh berries and all kinds of other goodies.
