In Japan, Izakaya's are a place to socialize. Everyone gathers to drink, share small plates and have conversion before going out for the evening. Izakaya's are also very popular at the end of an evening for a "final final." The decor at Tokyo Go Go has been said to resemble that of a "Japanese restaurant in the galaxy of the Jetsons." However, others say it's like Andy Warhol meets David Bowie or perhaps even 50's futuristic. Architect Roddy Creedon, Allied Architect and Design, (Ace Wasabi's, Gordon Biersch, Thirsty Bear) combines lime green, bubble gum pink, salt air blue, pale yellow and tangerine dream hues. This sophisticated yet hip, pop-art restaurant's lines are sexy, chairs are retro, and its music eclectic.
