Cafe des Artistes was named one of the 50 best restaurants in the United States by Mimi Sheraton in Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, and since 1991 has consistently been found to be the restaurant most frequented by respondents to the New York City Zagat survey. In the latest Zagat survey the Cafe des Artistes is the eleventh most popular restaurant in New York. They serve classic French cuisine and the menu changes daily, and according to the fresh produce available each season.
Jenifer and George Lang welcome you to one of New York's most famous restaurants -4 blocks from Lincoln Center and 10 minutes from the theater district.
Press Reviews
"...rediscover what it is about the place that makes it one of the city's best-loved restaurants." - The New York Times, September 2003
"The romantic Old World setting and compelling bistro cooking of this Manhattan institution remain a lure. Handsome wood walls, bursts of fresh flowers and those famous murals add to the charm." - The New York Times
"4,500 surveyors say when 'you want to feel like Rockefeller', 'seduce someone' or 'fall in love all over again', nothing's better than this Lincoln Center 'timeless classic'; the 'lovely' murals of gamboling nymphs and 'gorgeous' flowers create an 'eternally romantic' backdrop for French food that's 'always a treat'." - The Zagat Survey
